- The Foundations of Happiness
The Buddhist Discussion Centre Australia will conduct an introductory course in Buddhism titled "The Foundations of Happiness" commencing on Saturday the 3rd of March 2018.
The course will present the Buddhist approach to living a happy and fulfilling life in our modern world.

- Buddhist Classes for Children in 2018
Our centre will conduct classes in Buddhism for children of various ages accompanied by at least one of their parents starting on the 17th of February 2018.
The classes will be led by professional school teachers who are Members of our centre and result from requests we have received by parents wishing to find a suitable place for their children to learn attitudes and behaviours based on Buddhist Teachings.

- 2018 Lunar New Year Visits
On Saturday the 24th of February our centre hosted the visits of around 550 guests from two Victorian Vietnamese Buddhist Temples as part of their annual New Year celebrations and pilgrimage to 10 Buddhist temples in one day.
Around 25 of our centre's Members and Friends contributed to making this event a great success and a beautiful offering to our many friends in the Vietnamese Buddhist community from Hoa Nghiem Temple and Giac Hoang Temple.

- 40th Anniversary Celebrations
The Buddhist Discussion Centre Australia was founded on the 9th of September 1978.
On the 9th of September 2018 we will celebrate our 40th Anniversary and 40 years of Buddhist Learning and practice at the same location - 33 Brooking Street, Upwey, Victoria. Many projects and activities are planned during the next 12 months in celebration of this milestone including the construction of a new Asian style temple building and offering lunch to 40 Buddhist Monks and Nuns.

- Chan Painting Classes 2018
Chan Painting Classes are conducted on the last Saturday of every month from 11.00am to 12.30pm.

- Buddhist Teaching and Meditation
Weekly Saturday evening Buddhist teaching and meditation class from 7.30pm to 9.30pm guided by a Buddhist Monk or Nun or resident lay teachers.
