Blessings to our Friends in the Dhamma,

The focus of this Buddha Dhyana Dana Review are papers and reports written for the World Fellowship of Buddhists 23rd General Conference held in Kaosiung, Taiwan 19 -23 April 2006.

The theme of the conference was Buddhism and Tolerance for World Peace and you can read the paper of our Director and Secretary, Anita Carter, submitted on this pertinent world issue.

Our Temple has been recording teachings on audio tape for over twenty years. As the tapes that these teaching are recorded on are now reaching the end of their lifespan it is now necessary to preserve these most precious recordings. Our Centre submitted an Information Paper on Preserving Audio Taped Recordings of Buddha Dhamma Teachings at the Conference to share our methods with the wider Buddhist Community on digitising Buddha Dhamma Teachings.

With the advent of the internet it is now possible to disseminate information in a way unprecedented. With the recent launch of our new radio website it is with pleasure that we share an Information Paper on the World Buddhist Radio (WBR). We have also included a submission form for persons wishing to contribute audio teachings for the World Buddhist Radio.

Our Temple also submitted a planning document for the "World Exhibition of Buddhist Artworks of the World Fellowship of Buddhists Regional Centres" to the WFB conference in Taiwan. This proposed online resource will allow Regional Centres to submit photographs or digital images of their collections.

May we increase our close connections with other Buddha Dhamma Temples through association with the World Fellowship of Buddhists.

May the Buddhist Communities share Dhamma Teachings in the Digital Age with ease.

May all beings be well and happy.
